Trying to get a little better at this.

Well for a while I've been trying to get myself to sit down a write at least a weekly blog if not a daily one.  So here is my second attempt at making this a habit.

Not really sure just yet how I want to use this platform or what I would like to discuss for now.  I figure that I'll just ramble a bit and hopefully something will begin to form.

For those who know me, you already know that I'm addicted to fishing and more specifically addicted to kayak fishing.  As I mentioned in my last post I am the Co-owner of Yakangler.com (the best kayak fishing site on the web) along with my good buddy Mark Watanabe.

I went fly fishing for the first time ever on Memorial Day with my step-father and now have this crazy itch that won't go away.  No, I'm not talking about poison ivy, I'm talking about a fishing itch.  I'm not dying to go buy a fly rod and try to catch bass from it.  I certainly can not say that I'm an accomplished enough bass fisherman that I'm bored with my usual tactics but I am certainly now ready to throw a new element into the mix.

I've been eyeballing this combo from Dicks Sporting Goods

Here is a pic of the first fish I ever caught from a fly rod

I'll hopefully be making this purchase in the next couple of days, don't tell my wife though, and I'll let you know how it goes.
